Culver City Cultural Affairs Foundation Launches Campaign to Keep the Arts Alive

The campaign is designed to keep the arts alive in Culver City after funds were lost when the State eliminated the Culver City Redevelopment Agency at the beginning of the year.

When the State of California eliminated over 40 Redevelopment Agencies, Culver City also fell victim to the cuts. In order to maintain Culver City’s strong cultural events, the city’s non-profit Cultural Affairs Foundation has launched its Cultural City Campaign.

The City has a history of offering free, accessible and quality cultural programming for the community. Past programming has included the Culver City Music Festival, an annual summer concert series; Made in Culver City film program celebrating the classic films produced in “The Heart of Screenland”; and Music in the Chambers featuring musicians from the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association.

Donations from Culver City residents and business owners will help save the cultural events that provide opportunities for arts enrichment, education, and community engagement.
