'Bug Out' With Creepy Crawlers on Sunday at STAR Eco Station

Pet a tarantula or snack on an insect at this interactive entomology festival for kids.

Culver City's STAR Eco Station will offer area kids an opportunity for some hands on time with creepy crawlers Saturday during its 14th-Annual Creepy Crawly Creature Feature Sunday.

Among other things, the entomology festival will feature 40 furry tarantulas, a "bug buffet" and chances to walk through STAR's butterfly garden.

"Join us to explore outrageous Fear Factor inspired insects game, create wacky and wonderful “litterbugs” recycled art, get hands-on with robotic pests, and sample snacks at our incredible edible bite-size “bug buffet," organizers said in a release.

The event will run from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Sunday at the STAR Eco Station, 10101 Jefferson Blvd, Culver City.

The even is free and open to the public.
