President Barack Obama's presence was felt last Friday near 26th St. and San Vicente Boulevard as he visited the home of Peter Chernin at a luncheon fundraiser for the Democratic National Committee.

Brentwood photographer Mathew Tekulsky was on hand with his camera Friday, along with dozens of protesters.

There were anti-deportation protesters, who shut down the intersection in the trendiest part of Brentwood for a couple of hours. According to Tekulsky, the police were very polite, but eventually, the protestors were "asked" to disperse.

There were also protests in the area against drones, fracking and the Keystone Pipeline. These protestors were down the street from the Latino anti-deportation protestors, according to Tekulsky. The police watched on as the Obama event was up the street they were protecting.
