URGENT: Cruiser, the Abused Pitbull Needs a Home by Friday

The dog locked in a trunk and then thrown onto a Culver City sidewalk is at SPCALA. Please call if you can help.

The man who threw the 6-year-old pitbull Cruiser into his trunk and then dumped him and left him for dead on a Culver City sidewalk has been sentenced to a year in jail for animal cruelty.

However, Cruiser himself—who spent several days at Advanced Critical Care in Culver City being treated for dehydration and other injuries—is now desperately in need of a new adoptive or foster home by Friday or he will be euthanized.

Cruiser is currently at SPCALA and an organization or individual needs to step forward ASAP to give Cruiser his second lease on life after surviving this horrible ordeal. However, please take into account the following information about Cruiser should you wish to rescue him:

  • Cruiser is a six or seven-year-old pitbull
  • He is dog aggressive
  • He needs to go to a home that has no other pets
  • He needs to be with an owner that is comfortable handling a dog aggressive dog

If you can help Cruiser before his time runs out, call SPCALA directly at 310-676-1149. If an organization is interested in rescuing him, Cruiser's time at SPCALA can be extended.
