Transition Culver City Spreads Love for Alternative Transportation

In honor of Moving Planet Day, the group leads a bike ride along the Expo Line on Saturday.

Transition Culver City led residents and members on a unique bicycle ride Saturday along Culver City's Expo Line for Moving Planet Day to create awareness and encourage alternative transportation.

Moving Planet Day is a day of action to advocate for fossil-free transportation. From 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, downtown Culver City was the spot to participate in an alternative transportation parade and community forum.

Other local organizations joined in, including Sustainable Streets, reDiscover Center, Bikerowave and Culver City Bicycle Coalition.
