The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has teamed up with Operation Homefront - to help raise funds for the non-profit organization that provides emergency financial aid and support to families of service members and wounded troops.
There are several ways customers can support the cause, including an in-store Independence Day event, where The Coffee Bean will donate to Operation Homefront $1 from each sale of any $2 - 12oz. Ice Blended® drinks, including the new summer flavors, Cookies & Cream and Mocha Mudslide.
In addition, from now through Aug. 5, The Coffee Bean will donate $1 from each sale of its limited edition “Support at Home” coffee blend, a pre-ground blend that combines Sumatra and Brazil coffees to create a medium dark roast. The coffee will be available for $9.95 in stores and online while supplies last.
Customers who purchase the “Support at Home” retail coffee can request that the bag be donated directly to returning troops and their families. Each package features a blank surface on the back of the label where customers can write a message.
“We’re proud to debut our ‘Support at Home’ program with the help of our loyal customers whose generosity has made ‘Support from Home’ such a great success in past years,” says Mel Elias, president & CEO of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf®. “We hope the bags of coffee and donations bring our servicemen and women and their families comfort in knowing that we as a nation are humbled by their dedication to our country.”
Note: Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf operations inside grocery stores and airports are not participating in the July 4 promotion.
