Spring into Fashion with the Help of the Culver City Women's Club

The organization prepares to hold its first fashion show fundraiser.

The Culver City Women’s Club will hold its first “Spring into Fashion Show” this month.

The organization, with help from fashions by Chico's in Marina Del Rey, plans to jumpstart your spring wardrobe while at the same time raising money for charities.

“This is one of the biggest events that’s ever been done for this club as far as I know,” said Belle Ungermann, one of the fashion show’s organizers.

In addition to fashion, there will be a handful of vendors on site with Cookie Lee, D’Aragona Design and Planet Chic Imports among them. Carol DeSalvo, fashion show chair, said now is the ideal time for the organization to host a fashion show.

“There are a bunch of people, I’m one of them, who wanted to put some more life into the Culver City Women’s Club,” said fashion show chair Carol DeSalvo.

Two-hundred people are expected to attend. Tickets are $40, and the proceeds will be used to benefit scholarship programs, Meals on Wheels and the Sojourn Center in Santa Monica, which helps battered women and their children, as well as other charities, DeSalvo said.

“Spring into Fashion Show” is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 14, at the . The deadline to buy tickets is April 9. Tickets may be purchased by calling: (310)391-0951.
