Rescue Pet of the Week: Lady D, the Russian Blue

Lady D is around 1 or 2-years-old and was abandoned on a balcony in El Segundo. Now she's looking for her fur-ever home.

Sweet Lady D was abandoned on a balcony by her former owners when they left their apartment in El Segundo.

Dehydrated and flea-infested, she was rescued by a caring neighbor who nursed her back to glowing health, then brought her to Friends of Animals Foundation.

Now, sleek and sassy, she waits for a new home. Lady D is a young Russian blue, perhaps a year or two old, very friendly and curious, with a gentle, trusting disposition.

If you're  looking for a new BFF, just call 310-479-5089 or email frndsofanimals@aol.com.

Maybe more to the point, where does the methane (way more powerful than CO2 as a greenhouse gas)Read More release go from the fracking process, where do the "secret"and other cancer causing chemicals go, and who pays for clean-up costs, increased healthcare costs of residents nearby, possible increased earthquake damage, etc. and where does this oil go (we can't use it--too dirty--so probably China)?

As I understand it, fracking wells "dry up" fairly quickly, which is why pressure to keepRead More drilling so urgent. Where do the jobs go after a year or so? Just a thought....
