Plus-Sized Model Search Headed to Culver City

A nationwide search for plus-sized models will make a stop in Culver City Saturday at the Ashley Stewart Store.

The contest seeks to find new plus-sized models to be featured in magazine spreads and social media campaigns this summer for PLUS Model Magazine, according to a release from the magazine.

Saturday's event will feature an appearance by PLUS Model Magazine editor-in-chief Madeline Jones and model hopefuls will be professionally photographed and entered into the national contest.

"During the event, aspiring models and the general public are invited to chat with Ms. Jones and hear tips on full-figure flattering styles," spokeswoman Cathy Farmer said in a statement.

"This is the opportunity of a lifetime for one lucky winner," Jones said. "Ashley Stewart and PLUS Model Magazine are like-minded in the way we see today's contemporary plus-size women... She's sexy, fabulous and loves fashion."

Those hoping to audition for the contest must be 18 years of age or older and cannot be under any exclusive contract with any other modeling agency.

Saturday's event will take place at the Ashley Stewart store at the Culver City Mall located at 6000 Sepulveda Boulevard from 3-6 p.m. For more information, models can visit www.plus-model-mag.com
