Free Mini Muffins at Essential Chocolate Desserts

There are several August specials going on at this sweets-friendly shop on Washington Boulevard. On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m.-noon, customers will receive a gratis mini muffin with the purchase of any coffee or tea drink. Wednesdays won’t be left out of the deals loop. From 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Hump Day, desserts including brownies, cupcakes and cookies are marked up to 50 percent off.

Kid-friendly Eats at Tub’s Fine Chili

Little buckaroos can dip their spoons into Western fare and fixin’s at Tub’s. The kids’ menu offers corkscrew pasta with butter ($1.99) or chili and cheese ($3.99), as well as the heartier Honchos, which are corn chips with chili and cheese for $3.49. The restaurant also has kid-friendly faves such as frosted root beer and hush puppy tails.

$5.95 Pancake Breakfast at Rutt’s Café

Made from scratch, the pancakes at Rutt’s Café sound like the next best thing to breakfast in bed. The Hawaiian-themed restaurant features pancake and Hawaiian King French toast specials ranging from $4.45 (for the junior size) to $8.95 (for king-sized appetites). In addition to the pancakes or French toast, customers can indulge in eggs as well as their choice of ham, bacon, sausage and more.

Beachy Photos for the Kids at The Pod Photography

Parents can enjoy a beach-themed photo session with the kiddos without having to brave the late summer sun. The Pod Photography has brought the beach indoors with its summer promotion. A children’s photo session (ages 3 months to 12 years) on their special beach set is just $50. A 5x7 print is also included in the deal.

Maybe more to the point, where does the methane (way more powerful than CO2 as a greenhouse gas)Read More release go from the fracking process, where do the "secret"and other cancer causing chemicals go, and who pays for clean-up costs, increased healthcare costs of residents nearby, possible increased earthquake damage, etc. and where does this oil go (we can't use it--too dirty--so probably China)?
