Culver City Celebrates First Ever National Night Out

Residents headed to Lindberg Park Tuesday night to get to know the local boys in blue a bit better and reconnect with their own community.

It may have been the 30th anniversary of National Night Out on Tuesday night, but it was the first time the Culver City Police Department took part.

CCPD’s boys in blue headed down to Lindberg Park to meet and greet with local residents. Neighbors also had a chance to connect and discuss with police how to stay safe, and be vigilant.

The purpose of National Night Out is to get people out of their homes and socializing with their neighbors and local law enforcement by building camaraderie and having a good time. The event was created in 1984 as an effort to heighten awareness and promote security through unity.
