Copenhagen Pastry to Open in Culver City in June

There’s a storefront and now a sign at 11113 Washington Blvd. proudly proclaiming the name Copenhagen Pastry.

Copenhagen Pastry is already a member of the Culver City Chamber of Commerce, has a website (with not much on it yet) and also has a Facebook page, which proudly states:

June of 2012 Copenhagen Pastry brings the authentic taste of Denmark to Culver City. For centuries, the Danes have made delicious pastries, and we are proudly importing the tradition.

There’s already a few excited responses to the opening on the Facebook page – several of them in Danish. If the natives are enthusiastic about the latest bakery to come to town, then that’s usually a good sign.

Owner Karen Hansen has announced on Copenhagen Pastry’s website that if you fill in the form on the site with your email address and name, you’ll receive an invitation to the grand opening, which we suspect will include free Danish.
