Five Things: Burger King Vermin Infestation, Pac-12 Media Day, West Nile Virus

Here are five things to know in Culver City for today and the upcoming weekend.

1. The Culver City Burger King at 10812 is open now, but was closed between July 17 and July 19 by the L.A. County Department of Health. The fast food restaurant was shut down due to “vermin harborage” and “vermin infestation."

2. Pac-12 Football Media Day takes place today at Sony Studios in Culver City, starting at 8 a.m. Click here for all the details.

3. 4. Culver City Public Theatre’s "Children’s Popcorn Theatre" presentation,  featuring the world premiere of John Henry: The Steel Driving Man, by Heidi  Dotson. The show takes place on Dr. Paul Carlson Park, Motor Ave. & Braddock Drive, Culver City from noon to 1 p.m. Click here for details.

5. Five people in Los Angeles County have tested positive for West Nile virus, making them the county's first human cases of the 2013 season, according to the county Department of Public Health.
