Saul Jacobs offered commentary on WWII-era songs to a packed room in the Culver City Senior Center on Thursday in honor of Veterans Day. The event, "Songs That Won the War," is part of a series of performances by Jacobs and company and included audience participation as he walked through the audience, encouraging veterans and non-veterans alike to join in the fun.

Members of the audience listened intently to Jacobs as he gave the historical context of each song and then sung along to such tunes as "I'll Be Seeing You," "As Time Goes By"  and "God Bless America."

"We bring the music and the people bring the memories," Jacobs said.

Hi,
Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your video on Veterans Day. Just spoke to Dave Jenett and helped him locate the site. You and Jared did a terrific job honoring all veterans and seniors. I will spread the word about your website. Let's keep in touch. I have some other ideas we can talk about. Thanks so much for honoring the Vets.
Sincerely, Marilyn Hess
