Fire Extinguished at Candle Store in Culver City

A fire broke out at the Stone Candles store on National Boulevard at approximately 10:30 p.m. Multiple units responded and extinguished the blaze in just over 30 minutes. No injuries were reported.

Multiple Culver City and Los Angeles Fire Department units headed to the Stone Candles store at 8771 National Blvd. where a fire had broken out Thursday night.

Units responded at 10:30 p.m. following initial reports of smoke being seen in the area.

Katherine Main of the Los Angeles Fire Department said the building was near the border of Culver City and Los Angeles, prompting a response by the LAFD, which ended up battling the blaze
along with Culver City firefighters.

Washington Boulevard was briefly shut down near the store, and firefighters extinguished the blaze in the one-story commercial building at 11:07 p.m. according to Main.

The cause of the blaze is currently under investigation.
