CityTypes: The Entrepreneurs

Forget the cupcake—baking and business entrepreneurs Cami Yates and Samantha Page are developing a new trend of their called the Sweet Square.

It's a slice of home—a 1950s baking sheet filled with ingredients you'd find in your grandmother's cupboard. With no preservatives, Sweet Square Dessert Bars are 100 percent homemade. Bakers Cami Yates and Samantha Page's philosophy? "Not all desserts are created round, and honestly corners never tasted so good."

Their 15-flavor collection includes old time favorites (blondies, brownies and lemon bars) and unique inventions (Makin' Bacon Bars, PB&J Bars, and Toffee Doodles).  Located in a kitchen on Washington Boulevard, their nearly 3-year-old enterprise is paying off, and they're making an impression on the food world one square inch at a time.
