1,000-Plus Applications Distributed for 33 Tilden Terrace Units

The Tilden Terrace affordable housing project drew overwhelming interest, with 1,250 to 1,350 applications given out by Culver City officials.

Culver City plans to hold a lottery, likely next week, to determine who gets to rent apartments in the Tilden Terrace affordable housing project.

Applications have been flying out the door, with about 450 distributed on March 8; 400 to 500 on March 11; and 100 each day from March 12 to March 15, according to city officials.

If all applications are returned to the . by Friday's deadline, that amounts to 1,250 to 1,350 hopefuls for 33 units or about 40 applicants for every unit.
